The Beaujolais wine region, which extends only 55 kilometres from north to south, includes a multitude of different soils, more than 300 have been identified. In 2018, it was awarded the Unesco Global Geopark label, testifying to a remarkable geological history that is among the richest and most complex in France.
Thanks to this diversity of terroirs, the Gamay grape variety can produce both wines to be enjoyed in their youth and wines to be kept.
